You peek your head from under blanket, I close the door behind me. I found new for us, A bottle jar heaped with incandescence. Too bright to see in day. The cork POPs. Smoke swirls, light shimmers, Constellations coat the walls. “I knew how you felt, earlier,” I say, Now that you can read my thoughts. I don’t have to form the word “Sorry.” You hear it, give my head a tap. You’re here, You still are.
